In autumn 2015 I was promoted to Team Lead and was starting to take over more team managing tasks which was a great experience for me. It was supported by the company with trainings on topics such as leadership styles, evaluation processes and giving feedback. Twin Saga was the first game we did the complete marketing process entirely within our company from creating the logo, combining the keyart and building the teaser and the founders pack page before starting on the “usual” marketing assets. For the teaser pages we started to use an responsive design in order to target an audience on all platforms (mobile, tablet and pc).
Zoo Zap was an other example where we used the same approach. Meanwhile our team had grown to 12 people including also a managing position to integrate a proper pipeline and asset documentation on how to file tasks to us. This helped a lot same as the daily stand ups on the task board. We also improved on the cooperation with the engineering department in order to realize more complex pages like the teaser pages. In summer 2016 the company was taken over by Gamigo and sadly they decided to shrink down the company size and among others, let go the complete marketing team.
Looking back, I am very thankful that I could make all those experiences and saw the company and our team grow and develop. I had a great time with a very nice and hard working team beeing surrounded by a lot of motivated and inspiring people and I will always be happy to look back.
